Peter Dutton Shows Us A Strong Alternative to Labor
Sunshine Coast MP Andrew Wallace has thrown his support behind the Budget in Reply speech delivered by the Hon Peter Dutton MP, Leader of the Opposition and Federal Member for Dickson.
In his address, Dutton highlighted the struggles faced by Australians under the current Labor Government, emphasizing the rising cost of living, increased taxation, and a lack of progress in key areas such as housing, security and energy policy.
"Electricity bills haven’t gone down as promised; interest rates have soared, and the dream of home ownership has become a nightmare," said Dutton. "This Labor Government has set our country on a dangerous course, and Australians are genuinely hurting."
Andrew Wallace agreed saying: "Under this Labor Government, Australians on the Sunshine Coast are facing similar challenges. Families are struggling to make ends meet, small businesses are feeling the squeeze, and there's a growing sense of frustration with the direction of our country."
Highlighting the economic challenges faced by Australians, Dutton criticised Labor's budgetary decisions and their impact on inflation and household finances. "Labor's reckless spending has contributed to inflation and placed a heavy burden on Australian households. We need a government that will prioritize responsible economic management and ensure that Australians can keep more of their hard-earned money."
Emphasising the need for a change in national political leadership, Wallace said: "It's clear that Prime Minister Albanese and his Government have failed to deliver on their empty promises and have left Australians worse off. We need a government that will put the needs of everyday Australians first. We need a government that will support small businesses, and ensure a brighter future for our country."
"As we approach the next election, it's crucial that Australians have a clear choice between the failed Green ideological policies of the Labor Government and the responsible leadership of the Liberal Party," Wallace concluded.
